My name is Laura. I’m a Paleo Coach and major food lover.
I believe the greatest gift we can give to ourselves, our loved ones and the world is our own positive health. I believe everyone deserves to thrive and live a long and healthy life, full of vitality and free from disease. When we are healthy and thriving we shine. We have freedom to be our best selves, to perform optimally and give more to others. This has an impact that reaches far beyond ourselves, a knock on effect which ultimately contributes to positively changing the world.
Upgraded Paleo is born from my love of food, understanding first hand the power of the Paleo diet and my desire to help others to be their best selves. It is the name I give to my modern optimised Paleo approach, combining the ancestral nutrition template with current day knowledge and resources in order to achieve optimal health and performance.

Optimise Your Diet
Regardless of our individual needs there are general ways we can all optimise the Paleo template, to provide our bodies with the environment they need in order to thrive. Particularly:
✅ Minimising sugar (and only consuming sugars/carbs from natural whole foods).
✅ Making vegetables the star of the show (high in quantity and variety).
✅ Eating quality protein.
✅ Eating plenty of healthy fats.
✅ Using high quality produce.
✅ Using non toxic cooking methods.
I believe you should never have to choose between delicious food and delicious health. I’m passionate about creating Upgraded Paleo recipes, and I do this for people like me, who love food.

Beyond the basic optimised diet the reality is that one size does not necessarily fit all. For example, some of us need more carbs or protein than others, some do well on a ketogenic diet, others don’t, and then there’s things like food intolerances, genetic needs and autoimmune conditions. Perhaps you want a certain result such as losing weight, healing your gut or boosting your brain and energy. Maybe you are highly active, maybe you aren’t. The list goes on.
Make it work in the modern world
I’m talking practicals here … how we make Paleo part of our lives in a sustainable way. The reality is that whilst our genes may expect us to eat the way we did many thousands of years ago, the world and our lifestyle has changed a lot. This brings with it both challenges and advantages. Whilst in general we have busier more stressful lives and are exposed to toxicity and inflammatory foods that our ancestors weren’t, we also have access to information, products and resources that they didn’t, all of which can help us to optimise our health and performance and thrive as nature intended.

My mission is to empower you to get maximum benefit from your diet, and importantly, enjoy the journey and love food more than ever.
