Brussels with Pork, Sage & Onion

Brussel sprouts with a difference. Combined with herbs, chestnuts, onion and seasoned pork, they taste truly amazing! This easy meal can be made in 15 minutes and is also great heated up the next day for breakfast or lunch.

Brussels with Pork, Sage & Onion

15 minutes Easy

Ingredients

500g pork mince
500g brussels sprouts, shredded
2 medium onion chopped (2 cup)
200g cooked chestnuts, roughly chopped
1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage leaves (or 1/2 tablespoon dried)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme leaves (or 1/2 tablespoon dried)
Himalayan pink salt/sea salt black pepper
Coconut oil or Ghee (from grass fed cattle)

  1. Shred the brussels. The quickest way by far is to us the slicer attachment in a food processor.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pan and fry the onion for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the mince, sage and a pinch of salt on a low – medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring regularly.
  4. At the same time in a separate pan heat 2 tablespoons oil and saute the brussels with the thyme and a pinch of salt on a low heat for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the meat mix to the brussels and add the chestnuts and cook for a further 2 minutes, stirring regularly.
  6. Enjoy!
